Latinobarómetro is an annual public opinion survey of approximately 19.000 interviews in 18 countries in Latin America representing more than 400 million inhabitants.
The study is produced by Latinobarómetro Corporation, a non profit NGO based in Santiago Chile, the only responsible for data production and publication.
It surveys development of democracies, economies and societies applying attitudinal, opinion, and behavioral indicators.
Data is used by social and political actors, international organizations, governments and mass media.
The executive director is Marta Lagos.
The databank includes the 1995 to 2005 waves, for the exclusive use of our subscribers. Within the documentation section you can find and download:
The 10 Latinobarómetro waves are integrated in such a way it is possible to carry cross-time analysis as well as comparative analysis among countries. For this reason, and because the number of countries and years is so high, it is necessary to first select the countries and years to work with, before you enter the online analysis section. It is of course possible to change this selection at any moment using the select samples option.
In the analyze results section you can find all the questions of the survey ready to be analyzed online. From it you can browse marginals, crosstabs and graphics. You can as well print the results or export them to Excel.
